Pretend Nothing

Pretend nothing
not even devotion
for such motive is like a prize bull

even though it is strong
it may yet kill you
should you perceive only its glory

the redeemed motive is death
and life also
twin sisters known to each-other!

though hidden
the gift is in plain sight

each step is born from the previous,
and so on through eternity
Picture

Perhaps memories are tainted
when we demand highly of them

distract me! I plead
or worse
'show me how I am free of weakness'

mirror mirror, on the wall
who is the fairest
me I remember?

If a tadpole does not lose its tale
it will never become a frog
